How small, exactly, is the world these days?

Last night I read Anvil Cloud's Poignant Posts 5 to discover a few links to some of his regular reads. On visiting Mel's page I found a really neat blog to read. I just swung by for another read this morning to discover she and I share a birthday! January 28 is 36 for me, 41 for Mel! Ever neat. This shouldn't come as a complete shock, really... it would be silly of me to think I'm the ONLY person in the blog-o-sphere to have been born on January 28. I just find it neat. So, looking forward to the big day in about 10 - we'll celebrate together, however far apart.

Cheers, Mel!

How about that? Now, join in for a chorus of "it's a small world after all . . " followed by "Happy birthday to us!"

Thanks a lot. I'd just removed the "Small World" song from my head last week when my son sang it to me. It resided in my head for nearly a day. So, good, it's back. Doggone it!

I once told a friend of mine about my psychotic relationship with the "Small World" song and he told me "Well, just sing 'Rhinestone Cowboy,' and that'll get 'Small World' right out." Then, he thought for a second, and then said, "Well, then you'll have another problem..."

Anyway, happy birthdays, after all.

my niece turns 11 that day... how funny!

when I first read it, I thought it said "36 for me and 41 for me." and I wondered, for a few seconds, how did he do that??? :))))
