The Almighty Website - a source of frustration

Indeed. As pointed out by my faithful reader (at least I have one!) multiple posts per day will wear a blog-surfer down to... well, let's consider for a moment blood-shot eyes and so forth...

The web site has proven to be a bit of a bear. I'm holding back the waters of discontent here in a BIG way for the sake of family viewing. To think I spent literally HOURS today fussing, mussing, fiddling and SCREWING with the formatting to come up with this: www.monarchmusic.net and all it is really is a shell with buttons that mostly lead nowhere! I think a break is in order - at least that's what S would recommend, so on good advice I decided to come here to vent. I never knew how absolutely satisfying this space could be for just that! You can vent to the web-iverse, blogosphere, whatever and only those who CHOOSE to read it need know your frustrations!

Deep breath.

OK, I have lots to do before this Turtle can climb back into his shell for a rest, and it's been one of those 4AM mornings, so off I go to do something NOT computer related!

Sweet dreams, all!

Well, ladies... I appreciate the support - little comments go a long way... actually the act of SHOWING UP is big. For a couple weeks I thought I was here by my lonesome. Then I discovered, it's much like being at a party. You can feel very alone in a room of 100 people if all you do is sit there. If you do nothing, nothing happens - as with life. I will be by for a visit and a read in the very short future, for now thanks for dropping by - I appreciate it.

Hi Dave,

You'll get to recognize the same names over and over as you go along. It isn't quite incestuous but ipodmomma, andrea, and I have come to know each other fairly well on line and have this tendency to show up in the same places. There will no doubt be others because I'll try to mention you in my next post.

Can't add you to my blogroll because a friend set up the blog for me and I can't figure out anything except the basics.

One of these days the light will go on in my head. How complicated can it be to add names to a blogroll that is already there?

I understand your frustration with what must be a much more complicated process than the kindergarten stuff that has me pulling my hair.

Well alrady you have made me laugh.
You are not along in the blogasphere, there are all us addicts out there that would probably be fired if our boses knew the truth. hehehe

Hey Turtle,

You've got a blog following already! Rock on, baby!

Carry on, carry on! it's all good. I think blogging will be the next wave of healing therapy -
Patient: I just can't make sense of my life anymore, nothing seems to be working right.
Therapist: have you talked to your blog pod? What are they saying?

Andrea: Thanks for dropping by - and I think you're right... if my boss knew how many hours I've spent not just in front of the computer, but pondering on company time, there might be issues!

Sarah: In large part thanks to you! Now I'm not sure if I can keep up with everyone! eeek!!

Zouzou: Cute, very cute. And I think you're right. There's dumping your problems on your friends, and then there's putting it out there for whomever wishes to partake... big difference!

I asked the gal who set it up for me for purple so that's my fault. The print used to be much larger but it caused the sidebars to disappear to she shrunk the middle column and the print along with it.

I may try for a different color. I was having a little trouble reading it too and I know what I wrote. Maybe a different color type will make a difference.

I tried several different color fonts against the purple, each one worse than the one before. I'm afraid we're stuck for the time being.

I have time because I'm retired. At least if you consider raising three great-granddaughters (the ones in the photo at top) retired. The blog name comes from their names, ROChelle, REBecca, and ELcie.

They're in school during the day so I have some free time and I'd rather do this than watch t.v.

I was feeling very isolated before I bought the computer over a year ago and suddenly discovered all these nice people.
